Discover The Most Flattering Female Scrubs
We all understand the mind - body connection to better health. Unfortunately as healthcare professionals we have long hours, endless responsibilities, and we skip meals - sound familiar? We often put ourselves last, prioritizing our patients before ourselves. We spend our life helping others be healthy, we need to set an example, however it is tough to practice these habits when we are short on time. For endurance, focus and our overall well-being we need to make ourselves a priority.
The beginning of the year is the time to make changes in our lives, resolutions, or whatever you want to call them. I stopped making resolutions years ago. I decided if I want to change something, why wait until January 1?
What does this have to do with finding the most flattering female scrubs? Scrubs enhance the flattering body underneath. How can we enhance our curves to make our scrubs more flattering?
Physical Health
Our goal is to make our bodies better naturally. The hourglass figure has long been looked at as a desired figure. Whether you are curvaceous or not, we can all make adjustments to improve our health.
As we age and have more life experiences, our body seems to hold all these past “memories”. Do you have some "memories" you need to forget? Ask yourself, do I need to make a change? Your appearance isn’t the only motivation, but as a physician, I remember telling my patients to have a tangible goal to motivate them to improve their lifestyle for better health. "Getting healthy isn't a motivator. I want to fit a size "X" is tangible."
- Drinking plenty of water.
- Be careful not to eat too many simple carbohydrates.
- Prioritize protein in the diet to help fuel your muscles and keep you full longer
- Work to increase your core strength. Lifting weights is a great way to build muscle. As you build muscle, you will burn more calories.
These are just a few tips to work into your lifestyle if you are not already doing these things. You may find something that works better for you; the overall goal is to have healthier habits. If you find your waistline slimming and becoming more flattering, imagine how your Valmasi scrubs will accentuate your curves.
Mental Wellness
How can you be satisfied when your mental health is not in a good place? That is hard to do. Feeling good and looking good go together. Having a plan to manage your mental health is key when you are working in a busy field like healthcare. You probably already have activities you do to help your mental health, if you don’t let’s prioritize that for you.
- Having specific activities or hobbies to release your stress are necessary. If you do not have any, take the time to discover what you enjoy doing. When we were younger, we had hobbies but as life gets in the way, we leave those hobbies behind. Bring them back.
- Pick a hobby that is completely different than your regular job, use a different part of your brain.
- Don’t be so hard on yourself if you backslide. Give yourself some grace to adjust your journey and get back on track. It may be hard to find a hobby you can really get involved in.
- Affirmations are promises you make to yourself for improvement. You don’t want to break a promise to yourself.
- There will never be a perfect time to “start”, don’t put it off, just do it.
Improving yourself is an ongoing process and you will never be “finished”. So instead of thinking of resolutions, think of these ongoing affirmations as something you revisit when you get off track or you fine tune them when you have reached your goal. Ask yourself, what do I want to improve? Throughout the year, revisit your affirmations or goals and see where you are in your pursuit of being fit, fabulous and flattering.
Flattering attire
When you find clothing that fits you well, you feel great, inside and out. This can be difficult if you have a hard to fit figure. When looking for scrubs, that also holds true. If you have a curvy shape, you can have some challenges. In the fashion industry, curvy is defined as a pronounced difference in the proportions of the waist to hips. Valmasi scrubs offer extra room at the bust line and hips for curvy women offering a flattering fit to your scrubs.
We are all flattering in our own right. The key is to know where you shine and project your best self. Getting the inside in good shape by prioritizing healthy eating habits like less sugars, more protein and engaging in regular exercise to develop the best body you can, curvy or not. The most flattering scrubs can only accentuate what you already bring to the table. No one size is better than any other size and we are all special. Make those affirmations and revisit them consistently throughout the year and for the rest of your life.
Quick exercises
In addition to nutritional changes, there are some exercises that help core strength. The best exercises are the ones you will do regularly. Here are some suggestions. I am not saying these are the best but they are familiar to most. Try to make a conscious effort to increase your core strength.
- Walking (briskly). Basically just keep moving. The more you move, the more calories you burn and the more your muscles are moving and activated. Muscles like to work.
- Bicycle Scrunches. No equipment and you can lay on the floor and do them. This gets at the oblique muscles also. You don’t have to do these exercises, I just included something as a motivator. See the YouTube video for proper form https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpRI3xBhJmo
- Planks. They require no equipment, you don’t need a lot of space and they are free. Planks are always mentioned when talking about your core. This exercise causes you to contract your abdominal muscles, it strengthens your ability to brace these muscles. My suggestion is to look at a YouTube video on proper form when doing a plank https://www.youtube.com/shorts/EiSla49T35M
